Delta Graphite Epoxy Motor (GEM) Restoration

9 December 2011

The Delta Graphite Epoxy Motor (GEM) departed the Museum storage area today for restoration and eventual display with other prized exhibits. This early version of a GEM was used on Delta rockets to provide launch thrust augmentation. This GEM has never been on public display and is complete with its transporter. The restored GEM should be back at the Museum by summer 2012.
